New computer technology comes out continuously. As a computer consultant you probably want to keep up with all the new computer technology that comes along. You’re most likely in love with technology - always looking for a new intrusion protection product to play with or another border-gateway protocol. What you have to realize is that your small business clients aren’t experimenting with new computer technology and so you shouldn’t be wasting your time investigating it.

Importance of Computer Training

Written by admin on Oct 30th, 2008 | Filed under: Computer Training

Author: John Mahoney

Computer training services are where a student learns by executing special training programs on a computer relating to their occupation. Computer training is especially effective for training people to use computer applications because the program can be integrated with the applications so that students can practice using the application as they learn.

Historically, computer training growth has been hampered by the enormous resources required: human resources to create a computer training program, and hardware resources needed to run it. However, the increase in PC computing power, and especially the growing prevalence of computers equipped with CD-ROMs, is making computer training a more viable option for corporations and individuals alike. Many PC applications now come with some modest form of computer training, often called a tutorial.

Computer Technology Training

Written by admin on Sep 3rd, 2008 | Filed under: Computer Training

Computer technology training is provided in several forms. Computer technology training is part of several school programs. In schools however, advanced computer technology training is seldom provided. What is provided, rather, is a basic training to be able to use some features of a computer like word-processing, being able to surf the internet, sending an email, etc. For more advanced computer technology training like programming in languages like Java and C or web page designing, one usually enrolls for a higher course in colleges and universities or other institutions like computer training centers. In addition, if one has a basic knowledge of computers, one can acquire specialized skills from researching through the internet. Special software, available for download online (either paid or free), and software available on CDs and DVDs also provide computer training. But that is not a conventional method of advanced computer technology training. Such advanced training is provided through full time courses at colleges and is usually termed computer science or computer engineering.

Computer training schools

Written by admin on Aug 4th, 2008 | Filed under: Computer Training

Computer training schools or computer training centers are one of the largest means of imparting computer literacy. The basic ability to use some features of a computer like typing out a simple letter in a word processor or being able to send an email and access the internet is generally considered as ‘computer literacy’. Computer literacy and computer training schools have only taken off since the mid 1990s. Before that, computers were prohibitively expensive for most individuals.

Five Questions To Ask A Computer Training School Before Signing Up

Written by admin on Jun 30th, 2008 | Filed under: Computer Training

By Chris Bryant

As with any field, there are good technical training schools, and bad ones. When you sign up with one of these schools, you’ve made a significant investment in time and money. You deserve to know everything about the school and your job prospects after leaving that school before you put down your hard-earned money. The problem is, sometimes it’s hard to know the right questions to ask.

The point of this article is not to bash technical training schools. That’s how I got my start in IT eight years ago, and today I’m a CCIE™ and own my own Cisco training company and my own consulting firm.
